We offer more than 80 workshops from expert speakers covering a range of topic
Empowered to Connect
Empowered To Connect, together with Show Hope and The Karyn Purvis Institute of Child Development at TCU, hosts the Empowered To Connect Conference — a two-day conference designed to help parents, caregivers, educators, ministry leaders and professionals better understand how to create safe healing places for children and youth. The conference is specifically helpful for adoptive and foster families and those who are caring for children who have experienced adverse childhood experiences, maltreatment, and loss.
The Refresh Conference
This is a time for you to escape from the distractions and chaos of life and be refreshed, equipped, and inspired. There are many conferences out there but Refresh is more of an experience than a conference. Our team prays fervently over this time with parents and we treat it more like a retreat than an event.

Learn – Connect – Heal – Share
Whether you’re a parent, professional, or student, there are plenty of workshops for everyone to choose from and plenty to learn from our keynote speakers.
Heritage Camps For Adoptive Families
We accomplish our mission by facilitating events which provide culturally relevant and family-centered experiences for every member of the family. These events provide individuals and families with both a deeper sense of community and an individual identity. It is our goal that all adoptees will develop a knowledge of themselves and their culture of origin and that families will have a better awareness of, and sense of pride in, their adopted family member’s birth heritage. HCAF assists children, adults, and families in becoming a part of a larger community “just like themselves,” with shared experiences, challenges, and opportunities.
Unforgettable. A community of kindred hearts. Gathering from across America and around the world. Parents and pastors, experts and organizations, leaders and servants. Each eager both to share and to receive — expertise and encouragement, resources and friendship. All passionate to see children thrive in adoption, foster care and effective service to the vulnerable worldwide. Seeking justice and mercy, rooted deep in the Gospel of God’s unfailing love.
